Drayton Road Street Party - 29th July

A street party to celebrate the final day of the Tour de France. They will be having fun in the sunshine with a range of beers on tap, street food and music.


Sunday 29th July sees the final day of the 105th edition of the greatest cycle race in the world, the Tour de France. As part of a collaboration with Active streets, Push Bikes Birmingham and Drayton Road residents, the street will be closed for a few hours and opened up to the local community. To get in the celebratory spirit, GCHQ will be joining in and providing lots of free and fun activities

• Cafe “shop ride” including a “show and shine” for vintage and quirky bicycles – 8.30 am

• Gorilla “B” ride hosted by Push Bikes Birmingham – https://www.facebook.com/events/234444680491916/ – 8.30 am

• Gorilla Off road “explorer ride” Push Bikes Birmingham https://www.facebook.com/events/234444680491916/ – 8.30 am

• Live showing of the last day of the Tour De France

• Vegan and Vegetarian “Caribbean inspired Street Food” provided by “Nyam Nyam” – 11.30 am onward

• Craft ales including “take-over” by Birmingham Brewing Company of Stirchley – from 12 onward

• Free interactive learning workshop provided by “Explore Learning” for young people aged 5 – 11 years old in – from 10.30 onward
